Error report form
When you use the form on the Report page, the kind of report, the page address, your message and, if you give one, your e-mail address are kept so that we can look into the report and, if you wish, get back to you. The e-mail address is optional.
This information is kept in the site’s database on Bumba’s server in Istanbul; only the site owner sees it, and it is not used for anything else or shared with anyone. Your IP address is not recorded; it is held only briefly in the server’s memory to prevent abuse.
Legal basis: Article 5(2)(f) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), the controller’s legitimate interest in keeping the site’s information accurate. Reports are kept for as long as they are needed to deal with them; you can ask for yours to be deleted at the address below.
Mailing list
The form at the bottom of the pages belongs to Bumba Group’s shared mailing list. You only join if you tick the consent box and click the link in the confirmation e-mail, and every e-mail lets you leave with one click. The list has its own privacy notice:
Statistics (Umami)
To see how many people visit, we use Umami running on Bumba’s own server. Umami sets no cookies and does not identify you: it keeps only aggregate information such as which page was opened, where the visit came from, the browser, device type and country. Search terms and e-mail addresses are never sent to it.
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses no cookies. Your browser’s local storage keeps only the theme (light or dark) and language you chose; these are never sent to the server. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Third-party services
The map page loads its map tiles from OpenFreeMap. Preview images of documentary videos are loaded from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com); the video itself opens only when you play it, from YouTube’s cookie-free address (youtube-nocookie.com). These services can see the IP address of the browser making the request.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object. Write to bilgi@bumbagroup.com.
